Richard Jones Bids Fond Farewell to Lloyds Coaches

23 January 2014

Press Release

After four plus years as general manager for Lloyds Coaches, Richard Jones, bids a fond farewell to the company to concentrate on family and other things.

Richard commented "It is with pride I look back at my time at Lloyds Coaches, thinking of our achievements from business growth, surviving industry changes in funding, legislation and regulation issues to increasing our company profile across a wider UK stage through recognition at many recognised industry awards.

My debt is owed so much to the professional and fantastic dedicated people we have at the company. My thanks and admiration go to these special people who have trusted my abilities through respect and support in my role. I would also like to thank the loyal passengers which have supported our company as we have introduced new routes over the years such as the X28 and T2 services. Without loyal staff and passengers we would be nothing.

I have enjoyed working at Lloyds Coaches very much.

Dan Lloyd, will be taking over the role who is Wyn Lloyd's son (owner of Lloyds Coaches). This is therefore a natural progression for the company. I wish Dan, Wyn and the company and all of its valued staff every success for the future in the continued growth and development of the business and the Lloyds Coaches family."

Richard leaves the company this Friday, the 24th of January, 2014.
