Cardiff Bus
Cowbridge Road West will be closed in both directions for resurfacing, between Riverside Terrace through to the junction with Vincent Road, at the following dates and times:
- 20:00 on Monday 25 January to 05:00 on Tuesday 26 January
- 20:00 on Tuesday 26 January to 05:00 on Wednesday 27 January
Services 17, 18 and 96A will divert during the above dates and times as follows:
Services 17 & 18
Buses to/from Ely will run via Wellington Street, Leckwith Road, A4232 Ely Link Road, Culverhouse Cross roundabout and Cowbridge Road East to Ely where buses will follow normal route around Ely loop in both directions. The following bus stops will not be served:
- All stops along Cowbridge Road East from Wyndham Crescent to Ely Bridge in both directions
- Colin Way
- Ely Legion
- Heol y Felin
Customers who alight /board along Cowbridge Road East should use the Canton shuttle bus - see below for shuttle bus information
Service 96A
Buses to/from Barry will run between the city centre and Culverhouse Cross roundabout via Leckwith Road and A4232 Ely Link Road. The bus stops along Atlas Road, Lansdowne Road, Cowbridge Road East & Cowbridge Road West will not be served.
Customers who alight/board along Lansdowne Road should use the Canton shuttle bus as an alternative - see below for shuttle bus information. For those customers who normally alight/board along Cowbridge Road West, please use services 17 & 18 as an alternative. Services 17 & 18 will observe the stops along Cowbridge Road West, from The Pendine to Culverhouse Cross, while on diversion.
Shuttle Bus
A shuttle bus will run from Westgate Street (stop KL) to Ely Bridge serving all stops along Cowbridge Road East through Canton, in both directions. Please see the shuttle bus timetable here. Normal fares/tickets will apply on the shuttle bus.
