Tim Peake’s Spacecraft- National Museum Cardiff, from 15th November 2018 until February 2019

The Soyuz TMA-19M capsule was the spacecraft used by astronaut Tim Peake and his crew to travel to and from the International Space Station. It successfully launched on 15th December 2015, returning 6 months later to Kazakhstan.

This incredible piece of history will be on display from 15th November 2018 until 10th February 2019 at National Museum Cardiff as part of a national tour. Visitors will have the opportunity to get up close to the capsule and even see the char marks on the structure’s outer body from when it re-entered the Earth’s atmosphere!

You can also experience Tim Peake’s 250-mile journey back to earth yourself by taking a seat inside the Space Descent VR. This virtual reality experience, for visitors 13 and over, is narrated by Tim Peake himself! Tickets can be bought for £6.

You can find out more about the exhibition on National Museum Cardiff’s website.
