The annual Hay Festival takes place in the small market town of Hay on Wye, the National Book Town of Wales. This festival celebrates everything reading, writing and storytelling with the help of over 600 of the world’s greatest writers, performers and innovators.
Across the 11-day festival, running from 23rd May until 2nd June, there will be 800 fantastic events for visitors to immerse themselves in. Take a look at a small selection of what’s on offer:
An additional ‘Haydays’ programme features events for children and families to enjoy together. Parents or carers must attend workshops with children aged 8 years or under, but don't require a ticket. You can also treat the kids (or yourself!) to some of the delicious gourmet food and drink on offer at exhibition stands around the festival ground. Here, you can also browse a beautiful selection handcrafted gifts, vintage clothing, jewellery, art and crafts and more!
To see the full programme of events taking place throughout the festival, and to purchase your tickets, please visit the Hay Festival website.
